Weeksville Heritage Center

The remains of one of America's first free Black communities, founded in 1838, hidden behind modern Crown Heights apartment blocks with only a small sign to mark the entrance. Four original wood-frame houses have been restored and furnished to look as they did in the 1860s and 1900s.
