Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis Mosaics

One of the largest mosaic collections in the world lines the interior of this cathedral, over 41 million glass tesserae covering every surface in Byzantine-style religious scenes. It took nearly 80 years to complete and most visitors have no idea the collection rivals anything in Europe.
