Liberty State Park Overlook (New Jersey side, easy NYC day trip)

Technically New Jersey, but a quick PATH train ride from Lower Manhattan puts you at a park with maybe the widest single view of the harbor, the Statue of Liberty, and the whole downtown skyline together in one frame. It's the view most postcards are actually shot from, even though everyone assumes it's taken from Manhattan.
