Moravian Cemetery

The Vanderbilt family's private mausoleum sits behind an iron gate at the back of this sprawling cemetery, designed by Richard Morris Hunt to resemble a French Romanesque abbey. You can't get inside the gate, but the walk up through the older sections of the cemetery to reach it is worth it on its own.
