HIDDEN GEM
Parachute Jump
A 262-foot steel tower that started life as a real parachute ride at the 1939 World's Fair before moving to Coney Island, and it hasn't operated since 1968 even though it still lights up at night. Locals call it Brooklyn's Eiffel Tower, and it's technically a landmark now, not a ride.
