HIDDEN GEM

Poe Cottage

The small wood-frame cottage where Edgar Allan Poe lived out his final years and where his wife Virginia died of tuberculosis, now sitting in a small park surrounded by the Grand Concourse's Art Deco apartment buildings. It looks entirely out of place in the modern Bronx, which is exactly the point.
