Astoria Park sits directly under the massive red-steel Hell Gate Bridge, an engineering marvel from 1916 that inspired the design of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Most people come for the pool or the running track and don't realize they're standing under one of the most important bridges in American railroad history.
