Hialeah Park Race Track

A Depression-era racetrack whose infield lake has held a flock of flamingos shipped over from Cuba in 1934, and their descendants are still there. The Audubon Society made it an official flamingo sanctuary, which is a strange thing to be true of a former racetrack.
